With the cost of attaining Higher Education skyrocketing across the country and yet more and more employers requiring it, we need to think outside of the box when it comes to providing access.
By centering incarcerated learners and the knowledge they already bring to the table, RCP tailors learning support and courses to incarcerated adult learners to help them save money and more importantly, time to degree completion.
RCP's Program Guide for Replication sponsored by Ascendium Education Philanthropy was released in May 2022.
“When people get out of prison, the overwhelming majority of people who have gotten education in prison, they’re so profoundly changed,” Pell said. “They go into their communities. They go into social work. . . . It’s in everybody’s best interest to have people come out [of prison] that are rehabilitated and feel good about themselves.”
